The Interconnection of Gaming and Desk Performance

Prior to the development of The Performance Matrix, my approach to at-desk performance was like most; each of the components separated. In my opinion, this isn’t a realistic approach to cognitive performance or overall health. 

Like most things in our world, the pieces that constitute performance are interconnected to one another. When one category (i.e. sleep) is compromised, we see the effect ripple across all other aspects of our health (mental health, exercise, etc.). This concept was the basis for The Performance Matrix. By acknowledging the notion that each category is interconnected in a sort of “Matrix,” we are able to paint a better picture of performance. 

With that being said, I’ve broken down each of these categories and given them an umbrella title. Unlike most of my work, I’ll be keeping most of the information and protocols closer to the chest.

The components of each of these categories will be fluid and continually be tweaked. My goal with The Performance Matrix is for it to continuously evolve based on the latest science, my experience in the field, and input from clients.
